In year 2013, Agricultural Credit Guarantee Fund issued 242 guarantees for 81,3 million LTL

In year 2013, the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Fund (hereinafter referred to as the Fund) issued 242 guarantees for 81,3 million LTL for 133,4 million LTL of credits granted to farmers, rural entrepreneurs and processing companies. Since the beginning of its activities (since year 1997), the Fund has already issued 4442 guarantees for 2,4 billion LTL to credit institutions for their credits amounting to 3,2 billion LTL.


OECD publishes study on the role of guarantee institutions to support SME access to finance

OECD's Working Party on SMEs and Entrepreneurship (WPSMEE) published a study on “The role of Credit Guarantee Schemes and Mutual Guarantee Societies in supporting finance for small and medium-sized enterprises”. 


The first half of a year the demand of credit guarantees remained stable

During the first half of a year Agricultural Credit Guarantee Fund (hereinafter – Company) issued 128 credit guarantees worth LTL 33,4 million for LTL 56 million borrowed from credit institutions by farmers, rural entrepreneurs and agricultural processing companies. Since the beginning of its activity, the Company has already issued LTL 1,1 billion worth guarantees to credit institutions for the economic entities credits amounting to LTL 1,8 billion.


Agricultural Credit Guarantee Fund participated in General Assembly of AECM

On 20th -21st of June, 2013 in Rome, Italy the representatives of Agricultural Credit Guarantee Fund participated in annual General Assembly meeting of the European Association of Mutual Guarantee Societies (AECM) and Seminar on the topic of “EU SME Support Programmes – The Future Programming Period and the State Aid Framework”. The series of events was kindly hosted by, and co-organized with, AECM's 2 Italian Member Organizations: Assoconfidi (the national umbrella organization for the confidi – mutual guarantee societies), and SGFA (Società Gestione Fondi per l'Agricoltura ).


FAO Study on Credit Guarantee Schemes in Agriculture

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations recently published a study on credit guarantee systems for agriculture and rural development. The activity of Agricultural Credit Guarantee Fund, as a successful case example of functioning guarantee institutions, also analised. 


New facility – guarantees for leasing companies

On 1st January 2012, the new amendment of Rural Credit Guarantee Fund came into force, according to which the guarantee fund will start a new facility – the guarantees, not only for the banks and the credit unions,  but also for the leasing companies.


Meeting with the representatives from the Republic of Macedonia

On 6-8 September, 2011 the representatives Mr.G.Bozinov and Mr.S.Kutleshovski from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia according to European Commission Directorate-General Enlargement Study Visit on Credit policy in agriculture and rural areas programme had traineeship visit in Lithuanian Rural Credit Guarantee Fund.
